The JuanSells.com Realty Co

This is a guide for everything you should know (but probably didn’t think of) before you buy your first home. First off, choose both a lender and a realtor that you feel comfortable with. They should take time to guide you through the entire home-buying process. Your job is to make sure that you’re readily available to speak with them, sign documents in person or online, and ask questions when necessary. Your realtor doesn’t just help you find a home, but also plays a crucial role after your offer is accepted. When inspections are done (I highly recommend an inspection), your realtor can help you negotiate fixes with the seller before you close on the house.

Before you begin home hunting, make sure you know your credit score. Additionally, figure out what is affordable. What monthly payment are you comfortable making? Discuss this with your lender and/or realtor to find your budget. Also, make sure you know what you want and what your must haves are before you begin shopping around. Some other things to consider: extra expenses, making a down payment, breaking a lease. Ultimately, buying a home is an investment. Like any investment, you will need to initially put in money. Can you afford this initial investment? This is a big question to ask yourself before beginning the home buying process.

The most important thing to remember is to find a home that fulfills your needs. Your realtor and lender will be able to take care of the rest!
