I often advise my clients to drive around areas or neighborhoods that they are interested in. Before we set showing appointments, buyers will take the temperature of a home’s location to determine if they can see themselves living in the area, or even in a specific home. Curb appeal leaves an impression on which homes buyers actually walk into.

Just like the inside of your home for showings, the outside should be neat and tidy with no clutter. This includes toys and lawn ornaments as well as a car in the driveway. Landscaping upkeep should be at the top of your list when selling your home. It signals to potential buyers that the home has been well-maintained. Another way to show this is through clean gutters and a non-damaged roof. Through these easy fixes, the buyer knows that the home has been taken care of.
